What is a Ringtone?
A "RINGTONE" is the tune your phone plays to let you know that someone is calling you on your mobile phone. Your mobile phone may be able to hold up to twenty or more different ringtones. You can change your ringtone so that your phone plays your favorite songs, or customize your phone to play different tunes for specific callers.

What is the difference between monophonic and polyphonic ringtones?
"Monophonic" ringtones are tunes that are reproduced one note at a time, usually playing the melody. "Polyphonic" ringtones are reproduced playing multiple notes simultaneously, allowing phones to play the melody as well as the chords of a song. Ringtones are available in monophonic and polyphonic formats. The kind of ringtone your phone can play depends on the kind of mobile phone you have. You can verify whether or not your phone can accept polyphonic ringtones by clicking on "Check My Phone" on the left hand menu.
